I can’t say it any better than House Democrats do on their blog.
There are more unknowns than knowns at this point.
I don’t know if those are known unknowns or unknown unknowns. But the point stands: it’s uncertain how close the Senate and House are to agreement on a budget.
Last week the Senate convened for committee and floor action; this week it’s the House’s turn. Today House members will hold their party caucuses and may come out for some floor action.
Later this week, we could see some excitement in committee with hearings on proposals that target tax breaks. But whether those ideas will move forward in the special session? That’s another unknown.
