Gov. Chris Gregoire might announce her decision on timing a special session Friday, unless she doesn’t. “I’d say there is a very good chance we’ll have some clarity tomorrow,” spokeswoman Karina Shagren said this afternoon.
Lawmakers in the House and Senate are poised to keep working until adjourning their 105-day session tomorrow, which would be two days early. They have Senate and House versions of an operating budget to pass, a capital budget to reconcile and pass, measures to rein in construction debt and pension costs and a big bill dealing with workers compensation changes for people who become disabled.
