The Washington State Labor Council and allies are marching on the state Capitol next week in a wave of rallies that speak to a growing militancy against state budget cuts.

The events are part of labor’s demand that state lawmakers close tax exemptions and special rates for industries and businesses that aren’t proven to produce jobs. Here’s labor’s demand letter sent to Gov. Chris Gregoire and lawmakers on March 17.

This is the result of years of wasteful benefits and wadges to state workers. Democrats only know how to spend. No one told them what to do once the money ran out.

Now that the state can’t affort to pay the bill, you would think that the unions would line up to tighten their belt like the rest of us. No, they will attack Olympia and try to intimidate and scare democrats to death. Well the democrats painted themselves into this box so they have to take the heat.

The sooner they divorce themselves from the unions and the entitlement crowd the better. Take a lesson from Wisconsin and start reining in the unions. They are not your friend. They are schoolyard bullies so treat them like a bully and give them a bloody nose.

They have owned you long enough. Man-up and mange them. You are suppost to be the boss. Don’t allow the tail to wag the dog. If you do remember voters are watching and if you can’t manage the unions you will be voted out and we will get someone in there that can manage the biggest outlay of our tax dollars, wages and benifits.

Golly, there are the SEIU locals in the forefront of the movement to “protect” their own and , incidentally, government’s workers. And, oh gosh, how many SEIU locals have been granted exemptions from Obamacare? Next week Olympia will be awash with indolent union members, “citizen activists” wanting to take from whoever they today designate as the “rich and corrupt”, and giving the taxpayers the finger. Meanwhile, the legislature is rotating on the budget meltdown because any choice they make to cut will gore somebody’s sacred ox. What fun it will be to watch the meelee next week.
