Perhaps everything you want to know about redistricting in Pierce County is now available on a website posted by the Pierce County Auditor’s office.

You can find it here

The site has links to the Secretary of State’s office, the Washington State Redistricting Commission, the state Constitution and laws governing the issue.

The site also includes information on redistricting of election boundaries for members of the Pierce County Council, local cities and school districts.

State and local governments use Census figures every 10 years to redraw political lines for Congressional, legislative and local government districts from which representatives to various bodies are elected.

Washington’s official population figures were released by the U.S. Census Bureau last week.
