Democratic state Sen. Karen Keiser has joined a coalition of 71 lawmakers from around the country who are submitting a legal brief Friday in support of the federal health-care reform. That puts Keiser, a state-level health reformer with roots in the labor movement, smack-dab opposite Washington state Attorney General Rob McKenna and other Republicans around the country who are trying to overturn the reform in court.

Why only 7 ? No courage for the rest ?

  2. Proconsul8 says:

Wow, what an underwhelming degree of support from the Soviet of Washington. Are there no rocks Karen can turn over to find more support in King County, anyway?

It isn’t that I don’t want EVERYONE to have health insurance, it is just that I can barely afford those who are on my policy now.

With raised premiums, increased co-pays, weeker coverages, and a couple years worth of frozen wages, I can’t afford to pay for my less fortunate neighbor’s coverage too.

    Sorry, still love ya!

  4. Concerned – since when did the health insurance companies need an excuse to raise you rates and copays and decrease you coverage.\?
