“I just got a phone call, and (Democratic opponent) Suzan DelBene has congratulated me on my win,” Reichert told an excited crowd in Bellevue.
“We’re going to make government accountable to the people,” Reichert said. “We don’t want the government to keep spending our money. Stop spending. Stop borrowing. And stop taxing,” he said.
There’s more good news to come for Republicans, state party Chairman Luke Esser told them.
Reichert “has been holding out as the lone Republican member of Congress from Western Washington. We’re going to change that tonight,” Esser said.
