With Republican incumbent Congressman Dave Reichert having an easy go-around this Election Night, the campaign for Suzan DelBene — notorious for its barrage of press releases throughout this election season — just distributed what looks to be its final missive to the media.

DelBene Concedes Election in 8th Congressional District

(Renton, Wash.) — Suzan DelBene has conceded the race for Washington’s 8th Congressional District.

“It has been a privilege to run for office in the 8th Congressional District,” said DelBene. “While we did not win tonight, our campaign’s volunteers and supporters should be proud of the time and effort they gave to this cause and our Democracy. From the beginning, we knew this would be a tough election, but we fought for every vote until the end, and I’m very proud of our campaign. This campaign may be over, but the work still remains. We need to keep fighting for the things that we believe in. The problems that we highlighted during the campaign still remain, like cutting spending and putting people back to work. Congressman Reichert and I didn’t always agree on how to solve the problems that face our nation, but he is a man of principal who cares about our nation. I want to congratulate Congressman Reichert on his victory in this hard-fought campaign.”
