‘Gain-sharing’ ruling may add $150M-plus to deficit

A judge’s ruling on pension “gain-sharing” for public employees last week could add at least $150 million to the state’s nearly $3.3 billion shortfall next year. That’s according to a court declaration by state Actuary Matt Smith in the lawsuit brought by teacher and state employee unions.
