It appears that Rep. Christopher Hurst, a centrist running as an independent Democrat, and Republican Patrick Reed of Sumner will face off in November for the 31st District, House Position 2.

Hurst, of Enumclaw, is trying to hold on to his seat and was finishing first well ahead of Reed, a manager in the Secretary of State’s Office.

Another Republican, Daniel Geske of Bonney Lake, was trailing in a distant third place.
