GOP events this week include visit from Steele

2nd & 29th District Republicans will host a 9th Dist congressional debate with Dick Muri and Jim Postma Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Dryer Fellowship Hall, 220 134th St S, Parkland. Senate candidate Dino Rossi is expected to make a special appearance.

Pierce County Republicans are hosting a meet and greet for U.S. Senate candidate Clint Didier Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Puyallup Library, 324 South Meridian, Puyallup.

• The Pierce County Tea Party is hosting a Meet the Candidate for Didier at the Pierce County Library Administration Building, 3005 112th St E, Tacoma, at 5:30pm Friday.

Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele will headline a Republican Resurgence Rally at the Tacoma Convention and Trade Center, 1500 Broadway, Saturday at 6:30 p.m. There is a $25 admission charge for the rally.

• The Tacoma 912 Project is hosting two state legislative candidate forums for all candidates. A 29th District forum will be held July 15 at 6 p.m. at Clover Park Technical College, Sharon McGavick Center, 4500 Steilacoom Blvd, Lakewood. A 27th District forum is set for July 20 at 6 p.m. at New Horizon Christian Center, 5600 Valley Ave. E., Fife.

• A group called “Be Informed WA-WA” is sponsoring a Congressional candidates forum for the 6th and 9th districts Tuesday, July 13, at 7 p.m. at the Lakewood Library, 6300 Wildaire Road SW, in Lakewood. Confirmed candidates include Republicans Dick Muri, James Postma, Doug Cloud and Jesse Young, according to the group. A $5 donation is requested.
