Reform? DSHS boss Dreyfus in shape for ‘marathon’

Perhaps everyone knows that taking on the bureaucracy of a mega-agency like Washington’s Department of Social and Health Services is more marathon than sprint.

But who knew the agency secretary, Susan Dreyfus, would take that so literally? Dreyfus, who does it for sport, ran in last weekend’s Capital City Marathon race in Olympia and survived quite well. Her official time: 4 hours, 58 minutes and 33 seconds.
