New ideas for ending a tax and budget impasse at the state Capitol include almost tripling the tax on a six-pack of beer and adding tax to sales of candy and gum. But the latest Senate Democratic plan retains a controversial general sales tax increase — 0.1 percent, which is estimated to cost the average resident $10 a year.

    Put extra tax on hard liquor. That will generate big bucks.

    They should tax the hell out of organic food too. Even things out a little, ya know?

    If America started treating churches like the big businesses that they are, they would generate a ton of cash and right the ship.

    let’s tax talk of the politicians. $1 per word when talking with the tax-payers, that is paid directly from their on bank accounts
