God and the Washington state Legislature

No, this isn’t about social issues.

It’s about the weather. It is cold around the Legislative Building. A bit breezy. And overcast, as though it might snow.

So lawmakers are experiencing first-week-of-session weather in what should be the final week of session.

Everyone is entitled to their own interpretation but here’s mine: God thinks the Washington state Legislature has just started its work. Given that, I think the odds of the House and Senate finishing their work by Thursday’s constitutional deadline are not good.

I know it’s end of session Jim, but no need to refer to Olympia as Hell. It’ll soon be over. :)
