Senate Majority Leader Lisa Brown is moving forward with an income tax proposal as longer-term solution to the state’s financial problems. A hearing on her plan is at 4:30 p.m. today just as House and Senate Democrats seem to be hitting a log-jam on what mixture of tax increases are needed to fix the states $2.8 billion budget hole.
