Good morning on Day 43 of the legislative session, and thanks for bearing with us on some technical difficulties with the blog this morning.

Coming up today:

  • Yes, another vote¬† on I-960: The Senate plans to vote this evening on SB 6130, the bill that would suspend the two-thirds majority requirement for raising taxes.¬† Senators are expected to concur with their House colleagues.
  • Budgets start rolling out today, with the noon release of the Senate transportation budget plan. Senate Democrats say they’ll release their main spending proposal at 9 a.m. Tuesday. The House budgets should follow later in the week.
  • The House Human Services Committee could vote today on a couple of bills coming out of the Maurice Clemmons case. But the big one, the constitutional amendment on bail, is in limbo over a dispute between the House and Senate. Sen. Mike Carrell is working on a new idea he hopes will resolve the impasse.
