The Tacoma City Council has rescheduled its regular Tuesday noon study session to 10 a.m. tomorrow, so that council members and city officials can attend the 1 p.m. memorial service for the slain Lakewood police officers at the Tacoma Dome.
The city’s television channel, TV Tacoma, also plans to broadcast the memorial service live and rebroadcast it several more times in the coming days. Here’s the city’s news release on the memorial service’s TV coverage:

TV Tacoma to broadcast the Lakewood Police officers memorial
TV Tacoma will provide LIVE coverage of the memorial service for the four fallen Lakewood Police officers on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. The procession will begin at approximately 10 a.m. at the McChord Air Force Base, will proceed through Lakewood to the Lakewood Police Department, and on to the Tacoma Dome.
TV Tacoma plans to interrupt its regularly scheduled programming when the procession arrives at the Tacoma Dome. For viewers who are unable to watch the live coverage, the station will provide replays of the service at the following times:
Tuesday, Dec. 8 – 9 p.m.*
Wednesday, Dec. 9 – 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 12 – 8 a.m.
Sunday, Dec. 13 – 3 p.m.
* Replays on Tuesday night will begin immediately following the Tacoma City Council meeting if the meeting extends beyond 9 p.m.
TV Tacoma is carried on both the Click! Cable TV and Comcast Cable systems. TV Tacoma can be seen on Channel 12 in the Tacoma City limits and in Pierce County on Click!, with the exception of University Place, where it can be found on Channel 21.
