This just appeared on the Associated Press wire:

One Washington state lawmaker says he wants to hold a public hearing to look into why a man accused of fatally shooting four Lakewood police officers was out on the streets.

Rep. Chris Hurst, D-Enumclaw, questioned why Maurice Clemmons was free despite a criminal history in both Washington and Arkansas, and said “something in the system clearly failed.”
Hurst says the Legislature “take every possible action and leave no stone unturned in their resolution to see that an event like this never happens again.”

Hurst is the chairman of the House Public Safety Committee.

WOW a DEMOCRAT want’s to have a HEARING on WHY the Democrat’s policies over last several decades has come back to haunt them….HUMMMM! It always makes me mad the way they will play this out for themselves to shine and the truth is that they really do not care and are not bothered by actions that have made this mess. I can and DO throw plenty of REPUBLICANS into this statement. But the fact remains the DEMS/LIBS believe that the CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM is in place for the CRIMINALS not the people the abuse, kill, rape and steal from. I wonder if they think that some day they will have to find out first hand about the CRIMINAL JUSTICE so they work to make it safe for themselves??? (also me thinks Mr. Hurst wants to be governor or a US SENATOR!! (After all their are no state senators thanks to article 17 of the US BILL IF RIGHTS anymore…)

Rep. Hurst was an officer and detective for 25 years. In fact he commanded a multi-city violent crime/homicide task force. He knows a thing or two about criminal justice.

Just check out Mike Huckabee’s past record on his agressive lobbying for parole in the past. You may care to check out this link. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2007/12/04/documents-expose-huckabee_n_75362.html
It is long past time that people stopped catagorizing people as Democrat or Republican to decide if they like their policy and just looked long and hard at what they have done. Governor Huckabee screwed up and then shamelessly denied what the documents and testemony plainy show he was warned about. No one sensible whatever their political persuasion wants dangerous people in the community and most of all they want everyone involved to be up front and accountable for their actions. Huckabee has shown himself to be anything but that.

  4. crusader says:

At least Huckabee had the intestinal fortitude to step up to the microphone to a nationwide audience and explain his decision 9 1/2 years ago and several felony arrests prior.

Will we ever hear from Judges MCCarthy and Felnagle?
