It’s not as much fun when you only get one batch of numbers and they come at 8:15. But the Times must think Dow Constantine’s lead is big enough that later mail ballots – still about half the total – won’t change the result.

The Seattle mayor’s race (like Tacoma’s) is a dead heat. Unlike Tacoma’s, there will be no more results up north until late Wednesday.
