Crosscut’s Knute Berger on how the rest of the region views Seattle

In the wake of the Russell decision to move north – and the perception/reality that Seattle encouraged the decision and reveled in it – is there a downside for the Emerald City?

Crosscut’s Knute Berger, writing from the belly of the beast, thinks there is because it feeds an existing resentment in the rest of the region that Seattle casts all regional issues in a How-Does-It-Benefit-Us light. Unless Seattle thinks it can go it alone and doesn’t need cooperation from the rest of the four-county region, it might want to begin preparing for pay back.
