Korean Women’s Association’s 40th Anniversary

The women were celebrating the Korean Women’s Association 40th Anniversary: Hand in Hand: A Voice for the Voiceless”  for 40 years of service with a benefit luncheon featuring King 5 Television investigating reporter Jesse Jones as the keynote speaker at the event. KWA started in 1972 with ten Korean women with the singular goal of helping other women in their culture.  It has grown to a large non-profit agency that strives to provide social and health services to the poor and most vulnerable. Since its founding in 1972, KWA has helped over 4 million low-income people with social and health services. Today, it helps nearly 150,000 people every year.( Lui Kit Wong/Staff Photographer)

Kirkland d’Elegance at LeMay

Luke Wylie of Redmond takes a picture of a Lamborghini during the 10th annual Kirkland Concours d’Elegance at LeMay-America’s Car Museum on Sunday. Wylie says he loves to take pictures of Lamborghini because the lines are fantastic and the cars hold a special place in his heart. This is the first year the event, which benefits Seattle Children’s Hospital, has been held at the new museum. A 1933 Marmon V-16 convertible coupe, owned by Aaron Weiss of San Marino, Calif., took Best in Show.
