   While I appreciate greatly the work of your staff photographers and look forward to viewing their work, I have wondered several times recently why it takes so long to get your staff photographers photos on your website in a breaking news event?

   I learned of the this tragic story early this afternoon while looking at MyNorthwest.com for Mariners news. When I noticed the photo gallery on that website I looked through the photos which were credited to Associated Press photographer Ted Warren and TNT photographer Dean J. Koepfler. I then went to your website to get further local photo coverage and I was really disappointed and upset that I couldn’t even find the same photos on your website that were taken by your staff photographer, yet they were on MyNorthwest.com and the P-I website at that time.

   I expect my local newspaper/website to be first in breaking local news with words as well as photos. Yet time and time again recently your photo coverage lags well behind your reporting coverage on your website. I know it must be easier to post a story than it is to post a photo gallery but your competitors are getting it done. Why aren’t you?
