Knowing both Dick Muri and Stan Flemming and just recently being cut out of Jesse Young’s District in the 6th and planted in the 10th now, my vote will be going to Flemming. Muri is more of a Politician in every aspect if his being. Stan is genuinely a wonderful person looking to serve the 10th district, who has been in the leadership role as a Brigadier General who will help lead this District down the right path.

For the 6th District it is clear that Jesse Young is the best suited Candidate for the job but I am sure most already know that. It’s the sheep of the republican party that don’t. Keep in mind, The truth is, if Mr. Driscoll did not have his (liberal) family fortune to fund his campaign, no one would even be mentioning his candidacy and the Republican party wouldn’t be drooling over his money. The guys has NO plan, or vision unlike Jesse Young.

Dick Muri is by far the better candidate for Congress in the 10th District, he has demonstrated a real concern for his constituents and always studies the issues, he has demonstrated strong leadership and honesty. After serving successfully on the Steilacoom School Board for 8 years, and now concluding a successful 8 years on the Peirce County Council he is ready to serve the new 10th District in Congress. His opposition on the other hand hasn’t demonstrated the ability to follow through on any of his endeavors.

You’ve missed the mark in the 6th. For 36 years Dicks ruled the roost with the power of incumbency easily handing him election after election. For the first time since many have been born the district can make a choice from a clean slate.

Jesse Young is the only candidate with a vision for the future of this district. His experience in the private sector, his ability to set and accomplish goals, and his pledged accountability to the citizens of the district raise him above all contenders. He is intelligent, compassionate, and truly representative of the people who live here. Jesse Young is candidate this district needs, and he deserves our full support.

You’re short sighted. Vote YOUNG. Jesse Young is the private sector job creation candidate. Young has the Information Technology education and experience that we need in Congress. IT is where the next war will be fought. IT is where most job creation starts.

As a retired Navy Commander, I agree military service helps show the mettle of a patriot, but it’s not the only means.

The TNT got it right – we need someone in Congress who will “relentlessly improve the performance of our government agencies” and Dick Muri’s done that well.”

I served in the WA State Legislature with the other Republican in this race. While that candidate has a charming family, he voted with the Democrats 98% of the time – not exactly helpful in moving sound fiscal policies forward. After two years of that, voters in Lakewood, UP and Steilacoom voted Flemming out of office.

Contrast that abysmal record with Dick Muri’s record of building bridges with his colleagues to move policies forward with bi-partisan support. Personally and politically, I believe we’re fortunate to have Dick Muri ready and willing to serve as the representative in the new 10th Congressional District.

For The News Tribune to endorse the weaker Republican, Dick Muri, is not unexpected. This sets the 10th District for an upset to the TNT endorsement as Jaime Herrera Beutler did in the last election.
