		<description><![CDATA[I would respectfully disagree. Political parties are progressively becoming less of an institution and more of a brand - a personalized identity.

As in, when people think &quot;Democrat&quot; they don&#039;t think of the party, so much as the principles and imagery behind it (pro worker legislation, civil rights, environmentalism, etc.).

In an age of information over-saturation, when the average voter barely skims the voters&#039; pamphlet and the sea of campaign literature that arrives in their mail at best, being able to see on the ballot what party a candidate &quot;prefers&quot; can help people make somewhat-informed decisions rather than impulse guesses based on name familiarity alone.]]></description>
