Or how about the state just walking away and giving the whole thing to Seattle, What is the point? Lets just get on with it, let them have it, all of it. Seattle you deal with the whole mess.

I don’t understand why legislators from outside Seattle keep letting them have it both ways. It’s a state highway so they want the state to pay for it, but they also want to demand the most expensive/riskiest option without any support for overruns. Now there’s risk of a delay or even cancellation of the project that has already cost millions while we have yet another unnecessary plebiscite.

Absolutely ridiculous.

Don’t you love the scare words,The Viaduct coming down on top of THOUSANDS of motorists?Hey, what about the earthquake caving in the Super Safe Tunnel and burying two or three motorists.Does sound better doesn’t it?As far as the State Engineers predicting anything,I would have to take that prediction with a grain of salt.The project should be paid for with Tolls,just like the Narrows Bridge is being paid for.Oh by the way,wait until you see the final tab for the Tunnel Boondogle! After all the cost overruns,expect to see something like the Nations Debt!
