		<description><![CDATA[The term &quot;The loons in Pyongyang &quot; betrays the author&#039;s ignorance on the topic. Reducing an extremely complex diplomatic problem to a  misapplied analogy here and there  is not a recipe for an informative, thought provoking editorial. 

 The sinking of a ship is traditionally considered an act of war.

These are people who know how to hold a grudge.
 

Some genuine pressure from Beijing would ...
 

  

When it gets around to this:

...all that&#039;s is going on is tossing some red meat to the low info, fearful fifth of our society.

We are being told to be afraid. Not for any good reason and when that wears off come back and we will fear you up again.  
   This sort of broad brush, talking point rehashing of a semi-familiar bogeyman is a throwback to the neo-con halcyon days of &#039;00-&#039;03. In other words, not much of a journalistic standard to aspire to.]]></description>
