A toast (or two) to Earth Day

OK, it’s Earth Day, and my editorial today urges you to go out and do all sorts of earth-responsible stuff, like taking mass transit and planting native species that don’t need watering. This Saturday you take part in Parks Appreciation Day by working your tail off at local parks, weeding, pruning, planting trees, etc.

I’m sure we’re all going to run right out and do all that.

On the other hand, here’s something easier: Earth Day cocktails. Thanks to the folks at a Web site you might check out for a number of recipes that, I’m sure, are all environmentally responsible.

At least their names are. They include the Greentini, Planetary Punch, the Carbon Footprint and the Polar Cap. Cheers!
