HB 1317 is just plain stupid. It’s just a red herring so we can’t see the faces of rogue police officers beating the stuffings out of a juvenile delinquent in jail.

Understand the police are driving marked police vehicles home each night, often parked in plain site.

Parking in plain site was one of the reasons Tacoma allowed the officers to take vehicle home in the first place. The city council marketed it as some kind of crime deterrent.

I always thought taking home a marked police car was stupid, as it marks the home as a target for anyone with a grudge against the police.

How in the heck does not publishing a photo of police officer going to increase their safety when they are wearing an uniform and driving marked cars home? Nonsense I say.

I guess the police union will now demand unmarked cars for the officers to take home. Once you give in to a union, it never stops.
