Wednesday editorials

Editorials planned for Wednesday:

1. The problem isn’t that getting rid of sugary soft drinks is hurting student activity funds. The problem is that these “diabetes express” drinks were in the schools in the first place, and that student activities got dependent on them.

2. We praise the Puyallup tribal partnership that will lead to a new marine terminal on the Tideflats where the Emerald Queen casino once was berthed. It’s a big economic development project and a fabulous way to diversify the tribal economy, which is far too dependent on precarious gambling enterprises.
