Gonna use that kidney when your done?

Olympic snowboarder Chris Klug, who had a liver transplant in 2000, is working to encourage more people to be organ donors. Klug won bronze in 2002 and recently released a documentary on his journey called “Ride of Your Life.”

“The film shows what’s possible after transplants,” Klug said in statement released by U.S. Snowboarding. “It is possible to bounce back and live out your dreams. The film tells that story by intertwining my life on the World Cup tour last season with the stories of two women from Denver as they go through the entire transplant process.”

Whistler to link two mountains with gondola

From Whistler Blackcomb:
If you’re a regular reader of the News Tribune’s Adventure section, you’ve known this was coming for about two years, but Whistler Blackcomb finally made the announcement today.
The alpine host of the 2010 Olympics will link Blackcomb and Whistler’s mid-mountain lodges with a gondola.
The gondola will travel 2.7 miles in 11 minutes when it opens in December 2008. Construction starts next month.
The gondola ride will include the world’s longest unsupported free span with 1.9 miles between the two towers that are farthest apart. It will also be the highest lift in the world at 1,361 feet above the valley floor.

Bode Miller says he won’t race at Whistler in 2010

Bode Miller told the Associated Press today he won’t race in the 2010 Olympics - or any other Olympics for that matter.

It would seem like he’s just blowing smoke, but if anybody could pull a stunt like that and not surprise anybody it would be Miller.

Miller is still upset about the 2006 games in Torino where he was unwillingly made the face of Teams USA and had unrealistic expectations on him.

So what do you think about Miller’s announcement. Is he:

A) Being selfish and unpatriotic?

B) Just running his mouth.
