Kildow, Mancuso pulling away from the pack

Californian Julia Mancuso and Colorado’s Lindsey Kildow are emerging as the World’s best duo on the women’s World Cup tour and the early (really early) favorites for 2010.

Meissner leads women in Spokane

World Champion Kimmie Meissner is just a few minutes away from winning her first national title after easily taking the lead during the short program at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Spokane.

Her score of 65.69 points gave her sizeable lead over Bebe Liang (62.66) and Olympian Emily Hughes (63.32).

U.S. Figure Skating Championship in Spokane

The U.S. Figure Skating Championship are underway in Spokane with plenty of 2010 medal hopefuls doing their thing on the ice. The competition wraps up Saturday with the men’s and women’s championships.
