The folks at Lakewood Towne Center are hosting a military appreciation day for all of the area’s service members on Sept. 5.

Honoring Our Military Event – or HOME – is free and will feature live music, interactive booths, games, chalk artists, a rock wall, a skate ramp demonstration and free giveaways. It runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A Stryker vehicle will be on display, as will a Humvee with a simulator game inside and body armor for the general public to try on.
