Peter and I got in line very early this morning to follow these Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldiers to their destinations. None of us got there. Kandahar’s runway was incredibly busy today. With clear skies, it kind of looks like Arizona in the distance. This morning, we saw three different kinds of drones, American and NATO fighter jets and two varieties of air mobility aircraft. We finally saw a McChord tail on a C-17.
I know a lot of Air Force vets around Tacoma would’ve loved our view today, and they wouldn’t have minded the delays.
