A Stryker soldier assigned to Joint Base Lewis-McChord was killed today in a vehicle accident at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, Calif., the Army announced.

The Army did not release the soldier’s name. Four other soldiers were injured in the accident, which took place about 8:20 a.m. when their Stryker infantry vehicle rolled over during an exercise.

The soldiers are assigned to the 2nd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division. That unit last deployed to Afghanistan from 2009-10, when it was flagged as the 5th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division.

The Army said the soldiers were evacuated by helicopter to a hospital at the training center. One soldier was pronounced dead there.

Three returned to their unit, and one more soldier was taken to a civilian hospital for more care.

Park these rigs, bring all the troops home. I am sick of reading about troops that are killed in any way for a govenment that won’t let them fight and win.

I am a vet and I have lost respect for the goals of our government and the fact they waste lives. All soldiers killed since WWII were all wasted because they were not allowed to win.

Stop feeling sorry and demand our elected reps. end this insanity. Stop the waste of our precious kids.
