Puyallup Fair deals announced for military families

Service members and veterans might want to start marking their calendars now for free-admission days at this year’s Puyallup Fair.

The fair will run from Sept. 10-26 and, as in previous years, admission will be free at all gates on both Mondays of the fair for those who show valid military identification. Eligibility extends to all active, reserve and retired military and National Guard – as well as their dependents – plus disabled veterans.

Mondays are also good days for military families to go to the fair when combined with other deals. Sept. 13 is a $2 Madness Day, with rides, games and food priced at $2, excluding the Extreme Scream. And Sept. 20 is one of several Dizzy Pass bracelet days, with unlimited rides for $25, again excluding the Extreme Scream. (Sorry, ultra-thrill seekers.)

All in all, it sounds like a relatively affordable way for thousands of returning soldiers to get reacquainted with their families after a year overseas.
