It’s actually just a single link today.

The story comes from the Traverse City Record-Eagle. Apparently an AWOL Fort Lewis soldier was arrested in Michigan after a brief chase with police. From the story:

Officers were dispatched to the Holiday gas station at the intersection of South Airport and Cass roads shortly before 4 p.m. on a report of a theft in progress. McDonald’s vehicle sped off on South Airport as a Grand Traverse sheriff’s deputy pulled into the station.

Another deputy on South Airport clocked McDonald’s vehicle at 82 mph. The two deputies chased McDonald, who eventually stopped on Veterans Drive.

Deputies found McDonald, an Army private, was listed as AWOL on Aug. 2. The Mazda Miata he drove was reported stolen out of Washington state, though he told deputies he borrowed it from a friend.
