The Citizens Hearing on the Legality of U.S. Actions in Iraq — convened by supporters of Lt. Ehren Watada to talk about the issues that he won’t be allowed to in his court-martial next week — has come out with its findings following two days of testimony last month in Tacoma.

It will likely come as no surprise to anyone that the panel concluded the war in Iraq is illegal under U.S. and international law and that Watada had a duty to refuse orders to fight it.
