But not on Tuesday, the bullpen imploded for four runs and eight hits in three innings, ruining a relatively decent outing from Ian Snell, who pitched six innings, allowing two runs on five hits.</p> <p>“This game is a lot about the bullpen,” Wakamatsu said. “I thought Snell did a heck of a job going out there and competing and giving us six innings under the circumstances.”</p> <p>Of the five relievers used, perhaps the most effective pitcher was Miguel Batista, and that&#8217;s not <a href="http://blog.thenewstribune.com/mariners/2009/09/16/white-sox-6-mariners-3-postgame-notes/" class="ellipsis">&#8230;</a></p>
