Sean White out for the season
Right-hander Sean White, who went from a non-roser invitee to a dominant setup man in the Mariners bullpen, was sent to Seattle today to have his shoulder examined by doctors.
White, who had shoulder issues coming into the season, hadn’t pitched in more than a week as the team tried to rest the shoulder.
It didn’t ease the pain and stiffness, so White – and ihis 3-2 record, 2.80 earned run average and 52 appearances – is almost certainly finished for the season.
