As we posted prior, Jeremy Bonderman is out and Lucas Luetge is up.
The Mariners have Erasmo Ramirez lined up — he last pitched July 5 — to be prepared to start Thursday’s day game against the Red Sox. Eric Wedge said he knows who Thursday’s starter will be, and that he will be coming from Tacoma, but was not ready to announce it yet.
General manager Jack Zduriencik mentioned recently that Ramirez would be joining the club soon.
As for Bonderman, he exits after consecutive bumpy starts. He was 1-3 with a 4.93 ERA in seven starts with the Mariners since being selected from Tacoma June 2. In his first four starts, he was 1-0 with a 1.42 mark ERA. He was 0-2 with a 10.80 ERA in his last two starts.
