Mariners minor league report, July 5, 2013: Rainiers lose on a walk-off grand slam

The Rainiers lost on a walk-off grand slam to Salt Lake City. Kole Calhoun ripped the salami off of Josh Kinney in the bottom of the ninth (above). New Rainier Ty Kelly hit a three-run homer (below)

Anthony Fernandez gave the Jackson Generals a solid start, tossing seven innings and allowing two runs, but his teammates couldn’t give him any run support in a 2-1 loss to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.

Class A High Desert got big hitting games from Patrick Brady and Kevin Rivers in a 12-6 win over Rancho Cucamonga.

Class A Clinton picked up a 7-4 win over Burlington

Class A Everett lost 8-5 in 12 innings to Salem-Keizer. DJ Peters0n and Jack Reinheimer each went 4-for-6 in the game.

Rookie League Pulaski lost 3-2 to Danville.
