Tacoma got all seven of its runs in one inning and rolled to a 7-5 win over the Sacramento.  James Paxton had his best outing in over month. The left-hander worked six innings, giving up four singles and one unearned run. He walked just two, while striking out five. His fastball was clocked in the mid-90s. Stefen Romero had a big single (above) for the Rainiers.

Double A Jackson lost 1-0 to Birmingham in a rain shortened game.  It wrapped up the first half of their season.

Class A Everett won its fourth straight game, 5-4 in its home opener. Top pick D.J. Peterson said he doesn’t plan to spend to long with the Aqua Sox and follow the same path as Mike Zunino.  The kid is confident.
