Franklin Gutierrez is done with his rehabilitation assignment in Tacoma, but is not ready to play. He has ongoing issues with his hamstring.

Gutierrez can be sent on another rehab assignment Thursday. He will be examined by Dr. Ed Khahlfayan Monday night.

> Michael Morse (thigh) did work in the pool and took batting practice Monday. Manger Eric Wedge said they are shooting for the middle of the week to get him back in there.

> Wedge said they had a team meeting before batting practice to address the first couple months of the season, which have included numerous gut-punch losses. Wedge contends the spirit in the clubhouse is still strong, though he said the club has to be better on all fronts.

  1. bbnate420 says:

It’s now official, you have to dump Guti at the end of the year. Or not pick up his option actually.

  2. Sad thing is the instant we get rid of FG, he’ll get healthy & star for some other team. Then he’ll come back here, & be constantly injured again (see Morse, Mike).

The curse of the Babe is nothing compared to the curse of the Mariners!
