Mike Zunino continues to hit away from Tacoma. Last night in Colorado Springs he hit a pair of home runs, including the g0-ahead game winner (above)  in the top of the ninth in the Rainiers 6-5 win.

Zunino’s home/road splits are ridiculous …  From Minor League Central …

6-1 -- Zunino

As a proud resident of Tacoma, someone needs to show Zunino that the Grit City is a great place to hit a baseball.  Take him to MSM Deli for a Mike’s Deluxe, or the Red Hot for a hot dog or DOA for breakfast or the CloverLeaf for some pizza, something.   Tacoma is feeling left out in this.

Zunino and Brad Miller went back-to-back homers last night (bel0w) …

Dustin Ackley also had two more hits last night and .474 (9-for-19) in four games.

Double A Jackson was postponed by rain

Class A High Desert lost 3-1 at Modesto, snapping a four-game winning streak. But Kevin Rivers homered for the fourth straight game.

Class A Clinton picked up a 5-4 win over Burlington, scoring four runs in the bottom of the ninth and scoring the game wining run on a passed ball in the ninth.
