Mariners minor league report, May 31, 2013: Rainiers fail to score 25 run for a second straight night

The Rainiers didn’t score in double figures, but they rallied from a six run deficit in a 10-8 loss in Colorado Springs. Carlos Peguero homered (above) while Dustin Ackley and Franklin Gutierrez  (video of his double below) had two hits each.

James Paxton was scratched from the start with tendinitis in his knee. It’s something he’s battled throughout his career.

Double A Jackson lost 6-3 to Huntsville. Rich Poythress homered in the lost.

Class A High Desert got a 3-for-5 effort with a homer from Ji-Man Choi in a 6-3 win over the Modesto Nuts.

Class A Clinton was swept in a doubleheader.
