Mariners minor league report, May 28, 2013: Short-handed Rainiers win in Reno

Despite losing their starting pitcher and their best hitter in the same day, the Tacoma Rainiers still found a way to pull out a 11-10 win over Reno. Alex Liddi went 4-for-5 with a  massive homer (above) and a key double. Jesus Montero went 0-for-5 with an RBI. Below is Stefen Romero’s big RBI double

Double A Jackson turned a one-run game into a 9-3 win against Montgomery, thanks to a six-run eighth inning, seven of the nine Generals hitters drove in a run in the win.

Right-hander Erasmo Ramirez will makes his 2013 debut for the Generals. Ramirez had been battling triceps issues since spring training.

Ramon Morla hit a two-run walk-off homer in the 11th inning lead the Mavs to a 7-6 win over Lake Elsinore.  Here’s a feature story on Chris Taylor and Ji-Man Choi and their impressive starts to their seasons.

Class A Clinton got knocked around 11-4 by Quad City.
