Recently called up starter Jimmy Gilheeney won his second straight start, but he was far from perfect, giving up five runs on six hits in six innings pitched. He was helped by some solid run support as Mike Zunino and Stefen Romero each drove in two runs and the bullpen was outstanding. Did you know that Gilheene and Russell Wilson are friends?

Speaking of Romero, one of the TNT’s newest full-time employees – T.J. Cotterill – wrote this nice feature on Romero

Mike Curto also has some  more good info in his daily blog post.

The weather was cold in Adelanto, California and so was High Desert’s bats in a 4-1 loss.

Class A Clinton picked up a 5-2 win as Jabari Henry hit his fourth homer of the season.
