The Mariners have signed veteran outfielder Corey Patterson to a minor league contract. He will report to extended spring training. This is a move for outfield depth at the Triple A level. He spent last season with Triple A Nashville.

The Tacoma Rainiers picked up a 4-1 win as Mike Zunino’s triple got the offense rolling. Alex Liddi also homered in the win. Eric Thames and Nick Franklin both extended their hitting streaks. Zunino is mentioned in Jeff Passan’s prospect column
