Mariners stud pitching prospect Taijuan Walker dominated hitters last night, throwing seven innings and giving up one run on two hits while striking out seven.

Meanwhile, other top pitching prospect Danny Hultzen was scratched from his start with the Rainiers in Las Vegas. Hultzen had trouble getting loose, but it didn’t sound overly serious. Nick Franklin went 5-for-5 in a wild 13-12 win  It was tough game for Mike Zunino, who went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts and a walk.

Class A High Desert wrapped up a three-game sweep of Bakersfield.

Jordy Lara’s eighth inning homer helped Clinton to the win.
