Old friend Erik Bedard is on the hill tonight for the Astros. Here’s the lineup he will be facing:

> Bedard hasn’t made a start yet this season for Houston. He was scheduled to start last Saturday, but the Astros pushed him back. Bedard pitched 3 1/13 innings of scoreless relief to earn a save on Opening Day in the Astros only win this season. Bedard last made an appearance as a visiting player June 4, 2007, when he was with Baltimore.

> Tom Wilhelmsen’s three saves leads the American League in the very, very early going.

> The Mariners are 4-1 in night games and 0-3 during the day.

> Update: Nine games, nine different lineups for the Mariners.

> Joe Saunders is 7-0 with a 1.91 ERA at Safeco following last night’s win.

How long does Maurer get? I know it’s 2 starts, but AA to the majors is a very significant leap. I thought it likely would be too much. I hope I’m wrong and he begins to adjust the next few starts. You don’t really have any good options in AAA. I guess Bonderman. I wouldn’t bring Hultzen up too early just for need.

  2. The irony in Beadard beating us 14-0 is staggering!

BTW, Nate if you’re still here: Awhile back you suggested streaming with

Any tips? Tonight’s the first time I’ve gotten it to work; several other times it wouldn’t connect. I’m using the “Stream Torrent” player.

Zunino crushed a grand slam tonight.

moo, I’ve personally only used it once. I watch them on TV. I just heard about the site during Seahawk chats, and my brother lives in Denver so he uses it. Make sure you’re not using Explorer as your browser. Safari or Firefox should work. With the Hawks’ game I watched on it, there were multiple links to the game. Some didn’t work. Maybe they only have one link for the M’s and lower profile games like that? Just try all the links if there are multiple ones. I’d also make sure you have good protection software if you’re going to use a link that looks sketchy.

  4. Maurer wish showing why he wasn’t one of the big three. Or wasn’t compared to them. Houston is, at very best, a Triple A team. Everyone..,and I mean everyone has shut them down…even a journeyman ne’er do well like Joe Saunders. If that happens to Maurer..,by this team…I’d send him back to single A fast, very fast.

Single A fast? You lose any credibility with that nonsense.
