Joe Saunders threw in a minor league intrasquad game today to stay on normal rest.  It went as expected. Here’s the inning by inning wrap-up

So Saunders gave up two runs on eightvhits with two walks and eight strikeouts. He threw 78 pitches in 53 strikes.

Chris Harris … the Jacksons Generals radio play by play guy was there watching and had these tweets …

This is getting to be an issue with Paxton. I’m not sure if it’s between his ears or it’s mechanical or a bit of both. But he just hasn’t had feel or command with any of his pitches lately.
